I have an announcement to make. It is very big and it makes me very proud to announce Photography by harmony!!! I am in business and my website is finally DONE. I know this has been a long time comin and I have put a lot of work and thought into my business so words can not express how STOKED I am. Thanks to all those who have supported me through all of this, your help and strength have meant a lot to me. You guys rock.

NO I AM NOT PREGNANT! He he i am sorry to say it is not a baby but we got a poopie! (for those nacho libre fans) Anyway we had a little surprise from my mom on christmas and he is adorable. This is a pretty big deal in the barker residence because for those of you who know the sweet man i am married to he is not a fan of dogs. (brodes if you are reading this I LOVE YOU) Well Marky mark is his name... thought of by the used to be dog hater brody:) I think brodes is starting to come around to the little guy so lets just keep our fingers crossed. Meanwhile here is a picture of the pooper.

Well here are the rest of the good times we had in hawaii with the bro and his adorable little fam. We had such a blast doing everything from hiking, snorkeling, surfing, surfing contest, and having thanksgiving in 80% weather. I loved every minute of it. The whole time we were there I was actively brainstorming all the ways we could move out there... still figuring out:) Thanks guys really for such an awesome time! WE LOVE YOU!

Well its been two months since my last post and to be honest not a lot has happened. we have just been super busy with work and brody is killin it in school so we are pretty boring hence no posts. there are no babies, no new announcements, no huge events. just me and brodes doin the everyday stuff. but here are a few pics from the last little while.

so i feel like i need to explain these beauties. so we went up the canyon one fine evening and Taylor decided it would be funny to swim around half the lake so that he could sneek up on us by running out of the water. well it was so dark we could not see him until he came running out and it scared the crap out of everyone. then he started hugging christian and it kind of got awkward for the rest of us.

So a couple a weeks ago me and brodes decided we needed a little break so we packed up our stuff and headed to laguna. We were lucky to have the company of the barker girls and my little sister with her adorable boyfriend brayden. We stayed at my aunt jeanne's and just went to the beach everyday! It was so much freakin fun! I think brody got pretty sick of me saying "lets just pack up our shiz and move here i mean why not?" ha ha he would just look at me and laugh. But you know what I know one day down the road we will. Life is too short to let go of dreams. It was so nice to have so much fun with people that i just love so so much! I am all smiles.

PMS

So last weekend I had a serious case of PMS (brody can back me up on that) and for all those ladies out there that have PMS I hope you can relate to all those awesome emotions you go through in this blessed week. Seriously nothing makes you happy I think once a month I should be shipped off to an island so that no one pisses me off and I wont either bite their head off or start crying for no apparent reason. For those of you who are reading this and are thinking "I never feel like that" I hate you.
So through the last few years I have come to find the few things that I can count on to get though this time. Taking a walk or aything outside with distractions is AMAZING! I know i sound psycho but here is my reasoning.
1.A girl might think food but when you are PMSing you eat to make yourself feel better and then after you just feel worse because you just ate your body weight in cheese and you already felt nasty.
2. Then there is always shopping. My husband always laughs at me when he walks into our closet and I am just standing there and I am almost in tears because I have nothing to wear. ha ha I hate this moment more then anything. So then you think lets go shopping but for some reason when all this is going on you can not make a freakin decision on anything because your feelings are so wacked you have no idea what you are really looking for. So you wonder the mall in sweats (because thats the only thing you want to wear) hating everyone that passes you and looks cute.
So hence THE WALK or hike or bike whatever just to get you out and away from people who dont know what the hell is going on with the crazy girl.
Now I know that I totally just went off on a tangent but seriously if you read this and you can relate to this please let me know that you can relate so I can tell myself I am not a complete mad women.
I had the pleasure of taking a walk with my mom and my sister last week and it was so much fun. If any of you need a walking buddy through this special week let me know I am here for you. They hated me for bringing my camera but i am so happy I did.

THEN IT WAS BRODY'S BRITHDAY! Poor guy has his birthday 2 days after christmas so we have to make sure it does not blend in to christmas so we went out with friends that night and then the next morning we went to our favorite place for breakfast ever (Ruths Diner) we highly recommend it. It was fun to celebrate it with friends and then my mom and brothers came. good times!

So it was my birthday yesterday and I was lucky to have a birthday week because I was so lucky to celebrate it with all the people I love. Tuesday I went to my dads and then yesterday Brody made me the best french toast ever and my dad brought me flowers and another surprise. After that we all saw the new james bond (awesome) and then we went to my grandmas. They were so cute they decorated it with care bears and my favorite color when I was little pink and purple, then today I will be with the barker clan. Poor Brody is really sick of birthday cake. (funfetti cake I have to have every time) But I was so lucky to have all of that. I love all of my family so much and I have so much fun being with them. I LOVE YOU GUYS!

It was good times and by the way all you people out there if you have not eaten at texas roadhouse and had their sweet rolls with cinnamon butter then you are missin out. Mornings are a little tough with it being so freakin cold

I can not stand this time of year in utah. aaargh! I dont know how to get dressed let alone set the heat or the air conditioner in the morning (which we just dont do either now), it's below freezing with snow one day and then it's warm and sunny the next. I am never prepared! I know I am probably making a big deal out of nothing but geeze give me a break. I guess to be honest I am not ready for cold unless I am cuddled up in my warm cozy bed.

So it is Senior season for photos and I was lucky to shoot 2 on Tuesday (one being my sister) and it was so much fun. I know it was not super long ago that I was there in high school but it does seem like a long time because as soon as you get that diploma you really get a kick in the butt. Your biggest worry isn't what you are going to wear the next day it's I have to my work my butt off so me and my family can have food (okay it's not that extreme but you get my drift.) It just made me laugh that we had no worries but somehow we still made up so much drama to keep us busy and now the last thing I want is freakin drama. Oh how the times change...sigh. So anyways here is a peek of one of the pics. So on September 12th (i am a little slow) it was our big one year anniversary! We made it! ha ha We had so much fun this last year and I really do love him so much. It is funny how you really do not know someone until you live with them and you find out all their little habits, pet peeves, and the little things that can make them happy. I mean I wont lie at first its hard getting used to sharing a bed with someone when we both stretch out every limb possible while we are sleeping. Now we kiss each other goodnight and roll to opposite sides of the bed. Neither of us are cuddlers while sleeping and i am so glad that worked out that way. I am not going to bore everyone with all the little things in our relationship that are so freakin AWESOME but marriage is so fun even when you get in little tiffs and then you look back the next day and you can just laugh at each other about getting in a fight over what tooth paste do buy. So anyways on our Big day we went wakeboarding in the morning and then we went shooting at the range in salt lake. Brody got me a hand gun with a freakin suppressor on it which makes it so it's really quiet when I shoot so I feel like James Bond. Yeah he knows the way to my heart. Then we went to our favorite restaurant ever Five alls and I ate till I needed to be rolled out of the place. So after we had to go shopping and ya know justify spending money cause its a special day. Well there you have it a play by play of our eventful special day. Sorry about our pictures we both hate asking people to take our picture cause we feel retarded so we just try to do the old arm stretch way and this is how they turned out.

So Brodes and I both have been crazy busy with work and life i swear i feel so old when i come home and all i want to do is sit on my butt. I dont want to grow up anymore. but good news my website is now up for my pictures it is called lindsayjanephotography.com/harmony

it is still a work in progress its just pictures from the shoots i have done over the last few months i hope you like them. Also i need to shoot some awesome families. okay so i have been really bad about posting what brodes and i have been doing because lets face it not everyone takes a camera with them everywhere when they are out on the weekends. so this weekend was my grandparents big 50 anniversary so i thought i will TAKE A PICTURE. So my bro Zach, his wife nicole, and my adorable nephew boston came out from the east coast to be sealed in the temple this weekend in salt lake and i can not even begin to tell you how awesome it was and how happy i am for them. it was so good to see them, it is hard having them live across the country especially not being there to see my nephew grow up. But i took a few pictures there was a photographer there so i did not get a whole lot but it was a day i will never forget thanks guys i love you.

so hey i never said i would do a blog but i had to get some pics out into public and what better way to show the friends and family. For a quick summary Brody and I have been married for a little under a year and we are both working and going to school. Brody works for a company called agel and I am currently working for a dentist office and trying to learn the ways of photography so be nice to the posts of the photos. We do not have a lot to post about so dont be suprised when i dont't post for like three months (alsop who has not posted since before christmas) ha ha but ayways bare with me as i figure out the blogging ways.
